Cookie Policy
Last updated 14 March 2026.
This page explains the small files (cookies and local-storage entries) that finedge.pro sets on your browser, what they do, and how to manage them. The site uses a deliberately minimal set; we have not integrated marketing pixels, social trackers, or third-party analytics on our default configuration.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a tiny text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. The closely related "local storage" mechanism stores similar information but persists until you clear it. Throughout this notice we refer to both forms simply as cookies.
2. The cookies we set on first visit
We use a single category of cookies on first visit: strictly necessary.
Strictly necessary
- PHPSESSID — session cookie set by our server to maintain form state and CSRF protection. Expires when you close the browser.
- finedge_cc_v1 — local-storage entry that records your choice on the cookie banner. Expires after twelve months of inactivity.
3. The cookies we set with your consent
If you accept the optional cookies via the banner, we may also set:
- Service performance: aggregated, IP-anonymised page-view counters to understand which pages need improvement. We do not link these to any individual.
We currently do not enable advertising or social-media cookies on our default deployment. If we change this position, we will update this page and the consent banner accordingly.
4. Cookies set by third parties we deliberately avoid
We do not embed pixels from Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google Ads, or similar advertising networks. We do not load Google Analytics or Facebook Connect. We use a self-hosted form handler so that your enquiry information stays inside our own infrastructure.
5. How to manage cookies
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the small cog icon in the lower-left corner of the page, which reopens the consent banner. You can also clear cookies and local storage via your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will prevent the contact form from working correctly. Disabling optional cookies will have no effect on site functionality.
6. Do-Not-Track signals
Our site respects the Do-Not-Track (DNT) header. If your browser sends DNT, we do not enable optional cookies even if the banner is dismissed.
7. Children
Our services are aimed at homeowners, tenants, and businesses. We do not knowingly process information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, please email [email protected] and we will remove it within 14 days.
8. Updates to this policy
We update this notice when our cookie usage changes. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the latest revision.
